Torbay Owls From 11am till 4pm on Babbacombe Downs A static display of various beautiful Birds of Prey with the opportunity to have your photo taken holding one of the birds. Appearing on Saturday 16th, Sunday 17th, Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th June Local History Society Exhibition 10.30am - 3.30pm in St Anne's Hall "Royal Occasions". Memorabilia, artefacts and memories of royal occasions from Queen Victoria onwards. Organised by Babbacombe & St Marychurch Local History Society. Refreshments available. Appearing on Saturday 16th, Sunday 17th, Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th June Cliff Railway Fun on the Beach From 10am till 4pm on Oddicombe Beach Including tug-of-war competition at 11am - click here for an entry form. Live music on the beach all day from Babbacombe Ukulele Group, Brothers in Blues, Crooked Daniel and Josh Bidder. 'Festival Fare' Food and Craft Market From 10am till 4pm in St Marychurch Precinct Enjoy browsing a great selection of local Charity, Craft and Food stalls accompanied by entertainment during the day. Lots of local shops, cafes and pubs open too so join us for a fun but relaxing day.

Babbacombe Fayre 10am - 4.30pm on Babbacombe Downs The 59th Babbacombe Fayre offers juggling favourite Dan the Hat, Rocking Ken, the Beacon Wheelchair Dancers and fun stalls. Bargains galore on the charity stalls and music from the Palm FM Radio stand. Cheer on the schools tug of war teams, have your picture taken with a bird of prey and when you're tired, relax with a cup of tea or a burger and enjoy the spectacular view across Lyme Bay. Organised by the Rotary Club of Babbacombe and St Marychurch Admission free Festival Cricket T20 From 6pm at Babbacombe Cricket Club, Walls Hill Babbacombe CC v Chelston CC Clubhouse open to all, bar and refreshments, barbecue (subject to weather), children welcome. Guided Historical Walk 2.30pm, starting at The Dolphin pub, St Marychurch Precinct Organised by Babbacombe & St Marychurch Local History Society, this walk examines the history of the area. Lasts approximately 90 minutes. No charge, but donations gratefully received
Barn Dance & Ceilidh 7.30pm - 11.30pm in the Festival Marquee, Babbacombe Downs Music from "Piping Hot", an upbeat and unique band playing a foot-stomping mix of Irish, Celtic, Scottish and English music. Featuring real ales and cider, plus full bar service. Tickets £6 in advance
Green Willow Clog Dancers From 8pm till 9pm in St Marychurch Precinct An all female dance group, performing traditional clog dances from the North West of England.

To include Health advice, Health Therapists, free Yoga classes at 11am and 1pm, Herbalist, Therapy tasters (small charge), Allergy testing and a Vegetarian Cafe. Free entrance

Tessier Gardens guided walks Between 10am and 4pm The Friends of Tessier Gardens will be leading guided walks around this hidden oasis. Meet at the main gate in Lindridge Road. Walk lasts approx 15 minutes. Entry is free but donations are accepted.
German Oompah Night 7.30pm - 11.30pm in the Festival Marquee, Babbacombe Downs with your host Hans von Strapp Music from "The Bavarian Strollers" oompah band. Armed Forces Day 10am - 4pm on Babbacombe Downs This day is to honour and celebrate the work of the UK Armed Forces and those that support them, and to encourage the members of the public to actively engage in a celebration of the UK Armed Forces. A full programme of activities is planned including: Rat Pack Vegas Spectacular From 6.30pm in the Festival Marquee, Babbacombe Downs A wonderful evening of Rat Pack memories, Ticket includes a glass of Pimms on arrival and a 3-course meal. Featuring music from Three Bags Full, Sound of the Sirens, Gary Knock, Luke and Whose Army and Funkty Dumpty. Profits to THHN, plus raffle in aid of The Fishermen's Mission. |
